History of the Sugar River at Three Waters Reserve – Lunch & Learn
November 9, 2023 @ 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Join us over lunch hour for an exploration of our region’s past! Southern Wisconsin’s vast tallgrass prairies and oak savannas, home to a diverse array of native plant species, once supported a unique ecosystem that has largely disappeared due to agriculture and human development. Historic plant populations are essential for understanding environmental changes, ecological restoration and preserving biodiversity. Join us as botanist, Nate Gingerich, walks us through records of historic plant populations in Southern Wisconsin.
