Green County Genealogy Society Meeting

December 2 – “Golden Books” presented by Holly Everson (Meeting at Turner Hall)
Holly Everson has collected Golden Books since 1986. She began buying children books at second hand stores and garage sales because her daughter announced that she was expecting their first grandchild. She noticed the sparkling bindings of the golden books and wondered how many different ones there would be. They were numbered and she thought that it would be relatively simple to look for one of all the numbers. And that was the beginning of her golden book collection.

The meeting will be held at Turner Hall(1217 17th Avenue, Monroe) at 10 am, Saturday, December 2. Visitors are always welcome and there is no cost to attend. You may call Ginny at 608-426-1796 or Donna at 608-921-1537 if you have any questions.

Note:  The GCGS Research Center (located in the lower level of the Monroe Public Library) is closed for remodeling until February 5, 2024.
