    Geocaching
Join the fun with Geocaching (pronounced geo-cashing) -  a world-wide outdoor hide-and-seek game with millions of players who use Global Positioning System coordinates to lead them to caches. The caches are containers that hold a visitor logbook so the “finders” can add their names to the list of those who have successfully located it. These containers may also include trinkets to trade, “travel bugs” which are then moved on by the finders to other cache locations, or commemorative geocaching token coins.

Geocaching takes place all over the world - there are more than 815,000 caches worldwide.  Plugging in a zip code from any Green County community on the website
www.geocaching.com will show that there are more than 150 geocache sites within Green County and the nearby area.  These include a series placed by Green County Tourism (many thanks to the assistance from local Geocaching expert Wayne Stemple!)

Here's what some geocachers had to say about their experiences in Green County:

I don't think I have *ever* encountered a forest floor so completely carpeted with Dutchmen Breeches as I saw here. I half expected to hear fairy music nearby, so magical the effect was!  This is a very worthy cache, worth the drive and the risk to discover such a wonderful spot. Add to that the history of this local character, and you've got the makings of a cache that will be at the top of our list of all time favorites. Ah the proverbial collective groan. LOL. We put our mind to finding it and it did reveal itself with a little eyeballing and shimmying around a bit.  Thanks for the fun and the find with this Green County series. (lucy92979) WELCOME TO GREEN COUNTY N 42° 35.468 W 089° 39.091
